Jaroslav Katriňák and the Dakar Rally

The most successful Slovak moto-cross racer Jaroslav Katriňák took part in the 28th year of the legendary Dakar Rallye for the third time in the colours of SLOVNAFT, this time as a member of regional MOL Group Dakar Team.

By an excellent ride in the first stages, he step by step forged into the first ten of the race but not even this time he succeeded in breaking through the “curse” of the 7^th stage. At a rate of 120 km, he sustained a severe fall after which he managed to heroically arrive at the finish of the stage but, with regard to numerous injuries, the race doctor did not allow him to start the next stages.

Katriňák did not hide his resolution to race in the treacherous Sahara sands again and SLOVNAFT believes that the successful co-operation with the excellent sportsman will be continued in the future.
