In 2005, our company as a member of the MOL Group established a rescue team that can be sent to different corners of the world to help people in difficult situations after devastating disasters. We are proud of the fact that the MOL Group – SLOVNAFT rescue missions under the management of the Central Complex Rescue Service are capable of getting to any place in the world.
In January 2005, the mixed Hungarian-Slovak team was sent for the first time to Sri Lanka to help people after the devastating tsunami.
Only a few months later, the rescuers helped in Romania to disinfect schools and dwelling houses after local floods.
In October 2005 within the mission “MOL Group for Pakistan”, our rescuers left for this Asian country immediately after the destructive earthquakes that called for more than 50 thousand casualties. The rescuers´ capabilities and high professionality is proved also by the fact that a couple of weeks later they were again invited to train local rescuers for actions to be taken in case of potential disasters in the future.
