Slovnaft continues in mega investments. 300 million euro will be invested to the manufacture of plastics

Slovnaft plans to implement three large investment projects in Bratislava refinery in next 42 months with total value more then 300 million euro. The aim of the projects is to enhance competitiveness in sale of plastics, as well as improvement of ecologic parameters of manufacture. Currently the largest investment in the chemical industry in Central Europe, during the implementation can work from 500 to 1000 people through the delivery companies.

SLOVNAFT and the MOL Group intend to modernize the Adria pipeline, participation offer also to Transpetrol

SLOVNAFT and the MOL Group plan to invest into modernization of Adria crude oil pipeline. The investment could significantly increased capacity of the pipeline between Slovakia and Hungary and based on the initial estimates will cost around 80 million euro. For Slovakia this would mean the creation of alternative solution for the transportation of oil in sufficient quantity, without supplies from other pipelines. SLOVNAFT offered participation in the project to the state company Transpetrol as strategic partner.

Slovnaft Group has maintained profitability by high volume oil processing and strong sales

In the second quarter 2011 (Q2 2011) Slovnaft Group recorded adjusted operating profit in the amount of EUR 14 million. For the entire first half of 2011 was company’s economy supported by positive effect of higher refinery processing and motor fuels sales positive development of refined product crack spread and due to the favorable EUR/USD exchange rate development.
